Yemeni woman suspect arrested with her mother

A Yemeni woman arrested in the capital Sanaa on Saturday on suspicion of involvement in sending explosive packages to the United States was detained along with her mother, a defense lawyer said.

"Her acquaintances tell me that she is a quiet student and there was no knowledge of her having involvement in any religious or political groups," Abdel Rahman Burman, the suspect's defense lawyer, told Reuters. (Reuters)
