PM: I'll discuss terror threat with Biden next week

After explosive-laden packages targeting Chicago shuls intercepted, Netanyahu says upcoming talks in Washington to focus on ways to 'stop rising wave of terror initiated by radical Islam

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the weekly cabinet meeting Sunday that he will be traveling to the US next week to discuss, among other things, the explosive-laden packages from Yemen that reportedly targeted synagogues in Chicago.

Netanyahu said that during the scheduled talks with senior American officials, including Vice-President Joe Biden, he will discuss the "resumption of the diplomatic process in an effort to achieve peace and security."

Addressing the bomb plot, the PM said as far as the global security threat is concerned, "there is no difference between a synagogue in Chicago, a train in Madrid, London, Mumbai and Bali.

"We are facing a rising wave of terror initiated by radical Islam. One of the issues I'll be discussing in Washington pertains to the steps the free and civilized world must take to stop this wave, which threatens us all," Netanyahu told cabinet.
