Reports: Mudslides kill 3 in Italy, derail train

News reports say mudslides spawned by heavy rains in Tuscany and elsewhere in northern Italy have killed three people. Several others were injured after their train derailed from mud-flooded tracks.

Civil protection crews issued alerts Monday for several northern rivers that they may breach if the rains continue and officials urged people to refrain from driving for fear of getting trapped in flooded underpasses. (AP)
