Former Minister Shlomo Benizri, who was convicted of taking a bribe and is currently serving a prison term, enjoyed a few hours of freedom on Wednesday, as he joined hundreds of guests in the celebration of his son Netanel's wedding ceremony in Jerusalem.
Benizri, who appeared to be as joyful as the groom maintained his silence throughout the event, and refused to speak to the media, in accordance with instructions he received from the Prison Service.
The former Shas minister is expected to report back to prison at noon Thursday.
Benizri's son, who is currently completing his mandatory service in the IDF, wed Efrat Dahan – a medical secretary.

The wedding ceremony was conducted by Israel's Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar, while guests included senior Shas ministers, party members and prominent rabbis.
Interior Minister and Shas Chairman Eli Yishai said, "It’s all the more exciting to see (Benizri) here, outside of the prison walls. It is a joyful day for the entire Shas party. Tonight we are united."
"We will all continue to support him in the future. This is the place to honor a dear friend," added Minister of Religious Services Yakov Margi.
Another guest to make an appearance was former Knesset member Ofer Hugi, who was also convicted for forgery and fraud offences, and is Benizri's current cell mate.
