Israel to invest NIS 20 million to prevent threats on public officials

The Public Security Ministry and the police will invest NIS 20 million ($5.6 million) a year to increase technological and physical security around public officials in order to protect their safety, with emphasis on and preventing individuals from threatening them.
On Wednesday the writing "Mandelblit and Goldstone are traitors" was spray-painted near the home of the Israel Defense Forces' judge advocate general, Major-General Avichai Mandelblit, in Petah Tikva. (Yair Altman)
