Herzog: I'll work to strengthen Labor Party
Welfare Minister Yitzhak Herzog responded to the letter Party Chairman Ehud Barak sent to party committee, saying "only a strong Labor Party can contribute to the peace process and society in Israel." He added he would continue to work towards these aims "as much as required."
In the letter, Barak criticized Labor unrest, saying certain members were involved in small-minded, internal party matters instead of concentrating efforts on the peace process. (Attila Somfalvi)
