Car bomb kills 3 in Iraq's holy city of Najaf
At least 3 people were killed and 10 others wounded when a car bomb exploded near buses transporting Iranian pilgrims in Iraq's holy Shiite city of Najaf on Monday, a health official said. The revered Imam Ali shrine is in Najaf, which attracts hundreds of thousands of Shiite Muslims from Iraq, Iran and other countries every year.
The bomb in Najaf was the second to target Iranian pilgrims in Iraq on Monday, after an earlier explosion in the holy city of Kerbala killed seven people. (Reuters)
