Sen. Kerry: Lebanon can't stop UN investigation of Hariri murder

Lebanon does not have the authority to stop the UN tribunal commissioned to investigate the murder of former Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri, said Massachusetts Senator John Kerry.
"Lebanon doesn't have the power to change the tribunal, because it was created by the United Nations at the request of this country," Kerry said after meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the slain leader's son. The statement came in response to Hezbollah's call for a boycott of the tribunal because it is tipped in Israel's favor. (AFP)
