MK Tzachi Hanegbi (Kadima) was fined by the Jerusalem Magistrates court after being convicted of perjury in the political appointments affair. Hanegbi was fined the sum of NIS 10,000 ($2,761) but avoided a suspended sentence.
The court determined that Tzachi Hanegbi's offences involved moral turpitude, a decision which means that Hanegbi will be suspended from the Knesset immediately. (Aviad Glickman)
