MK Eldad welcomes Hanegbi court decision; MK Hasson saddened
Knesset Member Arieh Eldad (National Union), the chairman of the anti-corruption association welcomed the court's which determined that Tzachi Hanegbi's offenses involved moral turpitude and said that "the esteemed court has asserted what all citizens knew deep in their hearts – that a public figure that perjures himself covers himself in moral turpitude and shouldn't serve in any public position".
MK Yoel Hasson (Kadima), who was present at the ruling, said that "the Knesset has lost one of the best Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairmen it has ever had". He added that "on a personal level, I am truly saddened. I believe that while he may lose Tzachi in the short term but that he will continue to make his mark in the long term."
