Germany welcomes Obama's call for UN reform

Germany's Foreign Minister is welcoming President Barack Obama's call for reform of the United Nations, including a permanent seat for India on the UN Security Council, something Germany also seeks for itself.

Guido Westerwelle told reporters Tuesday that Germany backs efforts to restructure the 15-seat Security Council, currently made up the US, China, France, the United Kingdom and Russia as permanent members, with other members serving on a rotating basis. (AP)
