US rejects PM's comments, states clear link between construction, talks

US State Department Spokesperson Philip Crowley responded to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's comments, in which he negated a connection between negotiations with the Palestinians and Israeli construction of housing units in east Jerusalem, saying there is a clear connection, which obliges both sides to create favorable conditions for successful talks.
