The Obama administration says it has begun its review of whether its Afghan war strategy is working well enough to start withdrawing US forces next July.
An official says the review is due in mid to late-December and is a follow-up to President Barack Obama's December 2009 decision to commit an additional 30,000 US forces to a stalemated war now in its 10th year. (AP)
