Education minister: Haredi stipends bill perpetuates poverty

Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar slammed the yeshiva student stipends bill calling it "a bad initiative which perpetuates poverty and compromises the value of work."

Speaking at the Sderot Conference on Social Issues Sa'ar added, "A person who provides for themselves and their family is considered to be supreme value not only by Zionism but also by Judaism." (Tomer Velmer)
