Affirmative action for Ethiopians passes preliminary reading
The Knesset passed in preliminary reading a bill proposing affirmative action for Ethiopian immigrants applying for governmental positions. Knesset Member Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) opposed the bid claiming that haredim should be entitled to the same treatment. (Roni Sofer)
