Knesset resolves opposition to unilateral Palestinian statehood declaration
The Knesset has approved with a majority of 43 MKs in favor and 21 opposed a resolution stipulating that Israel opposes a unilateral declaration of statehood by the Palestinian Authority.
"The Israeli Knesset believes that all points of dispute must be debated only within the framework of direct negotiations," the resolution, a solely declaratory decree, states. (Roni Sofer)
