TA court delays deportation of 12 foreign workers' kids

The Tel Aviv District Court has issued a warrant to prevent the deportation of 12 children of work immigrants currently in preschool. The warrant was issued in order to check whether the children and their families meet the Interior Ministry's criteria to stay in Israel.
The Interior Ministry has rejected the families' application for permanent status. The court decided to delay the deportation following a petition filed by the Migrant Workers Hotline. (Yael Branovsky)
