The crash involved a bus, a minibus, and a truck, as well as two more vehicles.
The wounded Israelis were taken for treatment in a Jordanian hospital. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry and the Magen David Adom ambulance service began preparations to receive the injured at the Allenby Bridge and transfer them to Israeli hospitals.
Officials said a total of four intensive care ambulances and 11 regular ambulances were prepared for deployment. MDA was waiting for the go-ahead from the Foreign Ministry and IDF before deciding whether to evacuate the wounded by ambulances or airlift them.
Later, 15 ambulances and 30 paramedics were sent to the border crossing with Jordan to wait for the wounded. Around midnight, Jordanian ambulances began to arrive at the border and hand over the Israeli wounded to Israel.
The wounded wer taken to hospitals in Jerusalem.
According to Jordanian media reports, 17 people were wounded in the accident, which took place south of the capital, Amman.
One Israeli was killed and 35 others were wounded in a Jordan road accident last year, after a bus driver lost control of the vehicle south of Amman.
