After seven and a half hours, a long day of talks between US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came to a close in New York. During the day, Netanyahu and Clinton held a private conversation which lasted for an hour and a half.
Following the meeting, teams from the Israeli and US delegations held two meetings which included several consultations among the teams. A joint statement stated that Clinton and Netanyahu had a "good discussion" and agreed on importance of continuing direct peace talks. (Yitzhak Benhorin)
