EU to agree Iran talks offer on December 5

EU diplomacy chief Catherine Ashton is expected to agree Friday to Iran's offer to resume long-stalled nuclear talks with world powers on December 5, but to switch Tehran's proposed venue.
A European diplomat with direct knowledge of the situation said Ashton, who represents world powers at the negotiations, was expected to respond officially by the end of the day to this week's Tehran proposal to hold the talks in Istanbul on November 23 or December 5. (AFP)
