Italy's Berlusconi seeks confidence vote

Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi says he will put his government to a make-or-break confidence vote to see if his weakened coalition still has enough support in Parliament to govern.
Berlusconi told the presidents of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies on Saturday he decided to seek the crucial vote after learning that ministers in his coalition loyal to breakaway ally Gianfranco Fini planned to pull out of the Cabinet next week. (AP)
