French Cabinet reshuffled in weekend change

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has reshuffled his Cabinet, putting old faces in top posts and notably returning former Prime Minister Alain Juppe to the government as defense minister.

The marathon weekend changes that took a total of 24 hours drew criticism from within and without, with former Defense Minister Herve Morin dismissing the new government as a "campaign team" before 2012 presidential elections. (AP)
