El Al CEO calls for establishment of alternative airports

El Al CEO Elyezer Shkedy, who arrived at the Ben Gurion Airport following flight delays caused by the fog, said Tuesday: "This past night was difficult and out of the ordinary on any Israeli scale." He added that around the world planes are able to land in such weather conditions .
Shkedy said an alterative airport must be built in Israel. "It's very significant that there are no alternative airports in Israel. This must be finalized in order to avoid such disruptions in the flight schedule," he added. (Yoav Zitun)
