Labor director: Iraqi president wants to visit Jerusalem

Labor Director-General Hilik Bar held an unofficial meeting in Paris with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Tuesday morning, as part of the Socialist International meeting.
According to Bar, Talabani expressed his desire to visit Jerusalem, which he said was "a holy and important city, which is regretfully at the center of a political conflict." Talabani also noted the key role Iraq's Jews had in the country's cultural and economic life in the past. (Attila Somaflvi)
