Minister: IAF preventing construction of alternative airport

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz said that the Air Force is preventing the construction of an alterative airport, following recent disruptions at the Ben Gurion Airport over fog.

Katz addressed criticism that the airport had not been given approval to use a special system designated for tough weather conditions and said the ministry was never asked to assist on the matter. (Yoav Zitun)
