Study: Major wage gaps between men, women in public sector

A study conducted by the Bank of Israel shows that the gap between men and women's salaries in the public sector is consistently rising until the age of 50. No differences were found in the levels of formal education or training of women and men working in the public sector.
Men's average monthly salary in the public sector stands at NIS 10,375 ($2,817.95) compared with women's NIS 8,501 ($2,308.96) – a 22% gap. (Gil Kol)
