Al-Zahar denies Fatah claims Hamas tried to kill Nablus governor
Senior Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Zahar denied claims from the Palestinian Authority that Hamas tried to assassinate the governor of Nablus.
"It is not Hamas' policy to carry out internal assassinations," he said. "Hamas does not use this method, neither in the West Bank nor in the Gaza Strip. The PA claims are an attempt by Fatah to avoid reconciliation efforts." (Ali Waked)
