Polish leader: NATO-Russia ties not at our expense

Poland's president says NATO should take account of eastern European countries' interests as it seeks better ties with Russia.

President Bronislaw Komorowski wrote in an article for Thursday's Gazeta Wyborcza daily that he supports developing "constructive relations" with Russia which would be "positive for the security of both sides." But he added: "The alliance's relations with Russia should not be developed at the expense of the security interests of other countries in eastern Europe." (AP)
