Singer Susan Boyle in second US/UK chart double

Scottish singer Susan Boyle, who shot to fame last year when her performance on a British TV show became an internet sensation, topped the US album chart this week with her second record "The Gift".

Billboard said that the 49-year-old sold 318,000 copies in the United States in the first week, ahead of country singer Taylor Swift who was previously number one with "Speak Now". (Reuters)
