Peres wishes Abbas happy Eid al-Adha

President Shimon Peres phoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Thursday and wished him happy Eid al-Adha. The president told Abbas that the holiday has great significance and that "it inspires a sense of peace." He further added: "We must not miss the opportunity to reach a peace agreement."
The President's Residence said that Abbas replied by saying that the "peace process requires patience and we must take the opportunity that has come our way."
