As many as 30 miners were unaccounted for on Friday after an explosion rocked a coal mine on the west coast of New Zealand's South Island, the district's mayor said.
The accident happened about 50 km (30 miles) north of the town of Greymouth and around 200 km southwest of the capital Wellington. (Reuters)
