Paris: Examining the credibility of Bin Laden negotiation message

France is examining the "credibility of the announcement" published on Thursday night on the Al Jazeera network which called on Paris to begin direct negotiations with leader of Al Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden for the release of its kidnapped citizens, a government spokesman stated.
The North African branch of the organization said that in order to ensure the captives' safety, French forces must first withdraw from Afghanistan. Five French citizens were abducted in West Niger two months ago. (AFP)
