Ukraine court extends parliament term by a year

Ukraine's Constitutional Court on Friday told parliament it was extending its mandate by one year and authorised it to hold a parliamentary election in autumn 2012.
After constitutional changes earlier this year the parliamentary term was set at four years - which would have meant an election being held in spring 2011. (Reuters)
