Ministerial Committee postpones required National Service bill vote

The Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs postponed the vote on MK Moshe Matalon's (Yisrael Beiteinu) bill to make National Service a requirement for those who are exempted from IDF service. The vote will be postponed for a month.
The decision was received with a majority of nine ministers to seven after the Justice Minister Yaakov Ne'eman said that a government bill on the issue already existed. Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan said during the deliberation that "a situation where someone who avoided military service isn't obligated to complete some form of national or civil service is unacceptable".
