Foreign militants, Taliban figure die in US strike

Pakistani officials say a local Taliban commander and two foreign militants were among the nine people killed by suspected US missiles a day earlier near the Afghan border.
Two intelligence officials identified the slain insurgent leader only as Mustafa. They said Monday he was linked to Sadiq Noor, a key Taliban figure in North Waziristan, where the missiles hit Sunday. The officials, raised the death toll from six the previous day. (AP)
