Members of the Labor faction have been given voting freedom on the referendum bill which is being discussed at the Knesset plenum. Coalition Chairman Knesset Member Zeev Elkin told the Labor members that the vote has "a cost."
"It was decided to maintain coalition discipline on the matter and therefore voting against it would have repercussions. A coalition agreement cannot be upheld only when it's convenient," MK Elkin said. (Attila Somfalvi and Roni Sofer)
