Pakistan, Afghanistan to begin joint drug ops
Pakistan and Afghanistan say they plan to begin joint operations to fight drug trafficking.
The counter-narcotics ministers from the two countries, Arbab Mohammad Zahir and Zarar Ahmad Muqbel Osmani, made the announcement on Thursday in Islamabad. Afghanistan produces about 90 percent of the world's opium, and much of it flows out of the country through Pakistan and Iran. (AP)
