Seven dead in Russian MI-8 helicopter crash

A Russian-made helicopter made a crash landing in western Siberia on Thursday, killing seven of the 10 people on board, investigators said.

The Mi8 helicopter was on its way to visit the Krapivinskoye oil field when it went down in the Omsk region at midday (0600 GMT) around 2,250 km (1,400 miles) east of Moscow, the investigative committee of the General Prosecutor's office said. (Reuters)
