IDF troops thwart stabbing attack in West Bank
Soldiers deployed at Gush Etzion junction neutralize terrorist who charged at civilians
IDF forces prevented a stabbing attack at the Gush Etzion junction Thursday afternoon.
An initial investigation revealed that a Palestinian man arrived at the site with a 22-centimer (10 inches) knife and attempted to stab civilians waiting at a nearby bus station as well as soldiers.
Troops belonging to the Nachshon Brigade of the Kfir Division who are regularly deployed at the site were able to neutralize the terrorist.
According to initial reports, no one was injured in the incident.
The last attempted terror attack at the site was about a year ago when a Palestinian assailant stabbed a 16-year-old girl.
