Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the possible construction of an infiltrator detention center in the Negev and said: "There is a growing wave of illegal infiltrators threatening Israeli jobs and we must stop it because of the major consequences it could have on the State's identity."
"We need to create a humane response supplying a place to stay, food and medical assistance until the infiltrators are taken out of the country," Netanyahu said at the beginning of a government meeting on Sunday. The government is set to approve the construction of the detention center, an idea initiated by Netanyahu. (Ronen Medzini)
