NIS 2.2B plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions approved

The government unanimously approved the new national plan intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, at the cost of NIS 2.2 billion (around $600 million). The funding will be spread out over a decade for various projects destined to reduce Israeli greenhouse gas emissions by 20% until the year 2020.

The plan will include the Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan's proposition to add an additional chapter to the plan about renewable energy. (Yael Darel)
