The government unanimously approved the new national plan intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, at the cost of NIS 2.2 billion (around $600 million). The funding will be spread out over a decade for various projects destined to reduce Israeli greenhouse gas emissions by 20% until the year 2020.
The plan will include the Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan's proposition to add an additional chapter to the plan about renewable energy. (Yael Darel)
