Iraq: Christians flood French embassy for visas
Hundreds of Iraqi Christians trying to flee al-Qaeda threats thronged to the French embassy in Kurdistan after rumors that the embassy was willing to grant visas to France.
The flood of refugees compelled the embassy to close its doors. Most of those arriving were from Baghdad and Mosul, Iraq's second-largest city, which has seen a number of attacks against Christian communities in recent weeks. (AFP)
