EU, IMF approve aid package for Ireland
The Irish government has reached an agreement with the International Monetary Fund and finance ministers of the EU regarding details of assistance for Ireland, which is facing serious economic difficulties.
The aid package will include loans of 85 billion euros, of which 35 billion will be for bailing out Ireland's banks. (AFP)
