382 new HIV carriers located in Israel in 2009

Three hundred and eighty-two new HIV carriers were located in Israel in 2004 – some 140 of them homosexuals, the Health Ministry said Monday, estimating that about 7,000 HIV carriers and patients live in Israel today.

The figures were released ahead of International AIDS Day, which will be marked on Wednesday. (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)
