Mofaz replaces Hanegbi as Knesset Committee chair
Knesset Member Shaul Mofaz (Kadima) was appointed on Wednesday as the chairman of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. The Kadima party announced his nomination after the prime minister refused to allow a representative of the party to stand at the head of the Finance Committee. Mofaz will replace Tzachi Hanegbi who suspended himself after judges ruled that his offenses involved moral turpitude. (Roni Sofer)
