Erdogan: If allegations true – I will resign

Published: 12.01.10, 13:55 / Israel News

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan denied allegations made against him in diplomatic cables published by WikiLeaks, according to which he holds a Swiss bank account.

Erdogan called on American authorities to take action against the authors of the cables. Appearing particularly enraged during a press conference, Erdogan said "if the allegations are proven to be true, I will resign; but if the opposite is reveled – will you resign?" (AFP)
