IAEA warns Syria of nuclear probe

The International Atomic Energy Agency sent a letter to Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Mualem asking that his country cooperate with agents on a mission to check possible nuclear sites there, the head of the UN watchdog, Yukiya Amano, told an annual conference in Vienna. One of the sites to be checked was bombed by Israel in 2007. (AFP)
