Turkish ambassador: Friends help each other
MK Robert Tibayev, who chairs the Israel-Turkey Friendship Organization, spoke with the Turkish embassy and thanked the state for sending aid.
"Friends help each other in times of need," the Turkish ambassador said in response. "Despite the disputes, Turkey is a friend to the people of Israel, and providing help is a basic thing that friends do in times of need. This is how Israel has behaved towards Turkey in the past and this is what Turkey is doing for Israel today." (Roni Sofer)
