Netanyahu: We never expected such a disaster
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Ramat David Air Force base and told reporters, "We were not prepared for such a wildfire. It was never taken into account, by the professionals or authorities supervising them. There is a problem here, but first we have to take care of this fire."
Netanyahu also met with Greek pilots and thanked them for their help. He said he had not known "how serious the Greek prime minister had been about his offer to help". (Attila Somfalvi)
