Injured Haifa police chief's condition improves, still critical
Haifa Police Chief Ahuva Tomer's condition, though still defined as critical and life-threatening, has improved in recent hours, said Dr. Yaron Bar-Lavie, emergency room director at Rambam Hospital.
Tomer suffered severe burns when a Prison Service bus that she was escorting caught fire. The two prison cadets that are still hospitalized after the incidents were also severely burnt, but their lives are not in immediate danger, hospital officials said. (Hagai Einav)
